New Landlord Law - now better than ever!
As many of you will know, we were working for more of 2010 on a new home for Landlord Law. This is now online. We think you will find it much more convenient and easy to use, plus we have even more services than ever!
| Landlord Law, written and run by specialist landlord and tenant solicitor Tessa Shepperson, is the place for landlords, tenants, agents and housing law advisors and lawyers to find what they need on the internet. |
Here are some of the new services available on the new site:
The document generator -
- Prepare documents by filling in a simple form, and then the software generates it for you!
- Guidance notes with the form will help you prepare your document correctly
- You can go back and change your answers if, after generating the document, you find you need to alter it
- Once it is finished, your document can then be converted to pdf for printing and / or emailing out (e.g. for signature and return to you)
- Re-use the document as many times as you like
The document generator is used for all of our tenancy agreements (landlord and agent members only) and for letters (all members).
Designed for your convenience, saves time and gives you peace of mind
Questions and Answers
This is a long term feature of Landlord Law, where Tessa answers readers questions:
- Members can now see old Q and A sorted by subject
- There are helpful links to Q and A on subject areas in relevant parts of the site
- Members can now add their own comments to Q and A - give your own suggestions, solutions, or other examples of the same problem
Members have been asking for the Q and A to be sorted by subject for years, and with our new site this is at long last possible.
Improved forum
- No longer any need to log separately into the forum area
- Direct links to the correct forum area from relevant parts of the site
- Separate forum areas for landlord and tenant members
Ask questions and have discussions with Tessa Shepperson and other Landlord Law members. Relax knowing that there is somewhere you can ask for help if you need it.
Improved navigation
- Drop down links from the green navigation bar at the top of the screen - can be accessed wherever you are in the site
- Many landlord or tenant member pages also have a useful links block on the right
- Other sections, such as legal cases, the Local Authority Directory and the Q and A have their own index blocks
- Special My Landlord Law block appears on most pages (when you are logged in) allowing you easy access to your membership area, saved bookmarks and documents.
